Join us for the Chinese for Affirmative Action 56th Anniversary Celebration of Justice gala, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Yank Sing Rincon Atrium in San Francisco.
The CAA Celebration of Justice brings together community leaders, activists, and organizational partners to celebrate and renew our commitment to social justice. As our organization’s largest annual fundraiser, it provides vital resources to fuel our fight for democracy and civil rights for all.
For steadfast service to the AAPI community through leadership in the California State Legislature, passing the API Equity Budget, creating the transformative Stop the Hate initiative, and countless efforts to empower marginalized communities across the Bay Area and beyond.
For courageous and exemplary work challenging the unjust targeting of Asian Americans under the guise of national security, combating dangerous stereotypes and discriminatory practices in academic and research settings, and bringing greater attention to the scourge of systemic bias and structural racism.
For unparalleled dedication to justice, equality, and advancing civil rights for Asian Americans and all people through the landmark Korematsu v. United States case, championing Asian American studies, fighting for political representation via the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans (CAPA21), co-founding the Asian American Bar Association and the Asian Law Caucus, and mentoring countless community leaders.
Only your support can make CAA’s programs in civil rights and social justice a reality.

Take a stand for justice with CAA. Be a guardian for democracy. Together, we are stronger than those who want to divide us.
Your support is critical as we fight for a country and world that works for everyone. Your support allows us to:
Help us combat cruel attacks against immigrants. With your support, we can fight to protect birthright citizenship, preserve the constitutional rights of all immigrants, resist unlawful and inhumane mass deportations, and share resources for immigrant communities.
With the resurgence of Trumpism and right-wing lies on Chinese-language social media platforms, you can help CAA fight propaganda and disinformation, and build a stronger unified voice in Chinese language digital spaces. Our fact-checking and critical analysis, work to counter the spread of disinformation and keep our community safe.
As our national politics and federal government are under siege by right-wing ideologues, we are working to fortify networks of local and grassroots power to uphold our democratic principles and support resilience within our communities. This includes advocating for more language access in San Francisco, empowering Chinatown with equitable internet access, and uplifting the stories of courage and liberation that emanate from our community’s history.
Our work at CAA includes anchoring and leading emerging initiatives and national partnerships such as Asian Americans for Civil Rights and Equality, Chinatown Media & Arts Collaborative, and Stop AAPI Hate. At CAA we are leading the way to engage our community along with other communities of color to advance racial and social justice.
