47th Anniversary Celebration of Justice
Thursday, September 8, 2016
6:00PM General Reception
7:00PM Dinner & Program
This year, we celebrate CAA’s 47th year serving the Chinatown and Asian American communities. The evening will feature a conversation between Prof. Ling-chi Wang, who helped establish Asian American studies at UC Berkeley, and Joyce Xi, daughter of Xiaoxing Xi, a Chinese American scientist wrongfully prosecuted for espionage. Joyce and leading national civil rights and civil liberties organizations including CAA are calling for an investigation of whether there is a pattern and practice of discrimination by the Department of Justice. Join us for an inspiring conversation about how Joyce Xi is turning a family tragedy to a cause for justice on behalf of all communities being unfairly targeted.
Our 45th Anniversary Celebration of Justice will be held on Thursday, June 12. The reception will begin at
