Chinese for Affirmative Action’s 56th Anniversary Celebration of Justice gala is officially in the books. Thank you to our amazing attendees for celebrating with us. This was our first time hosting our Celebration of Justice event at Yank Sing Rincon Center — and it exceeded our expectations. Our 400+ multigenerational supporters filled the atrium with electric energy, enjoyed a scrumptious family style meal and moving program, and raised $536,000 for CAA’s impactful programmatic work. Woohoo!

We want to send a shout out to our wonderful emcee Susan Lieu who hosted with spirited grace and enthusiasm. Special thanks to Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco for their exhibit, Demons Yearbook. We have a limited quantity of zines set aside for our supporters. Please reach out if you’re interested. Finally, we are so grateful to our outstanding cohort of 2025 honorees whose body of work and calls to action inspired us. You can watch their honoree videos below:

As we write, CAA continues the battle to protect immigrant rights and racial justice. From international students and green card holders, to new immigrants looking for a better life, everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. We are all entitled to the protections and rights under the rule of law. Let’s stand in solidarity with immigrant communities under attack.

Our special CAA community — defined by our shared values, collective conscience, and courage — fuel our collective strength. Thank you for your support. As Board Members Eddy Zheng and Germaine Wong implored: “Get up, stand up. Keep fighting!”

We are proud to stand with you in this resilient community. Thank you for your partnership.
