CAA will be hosting a candidates forum for SFUSD school board next Friday, October 18th at Gordon J. Lau Elementary School. We are inviting immigrant parents to attend to give them space to directly engage with the candidates in Chinese. CAA will be providing English to Chinese interpretation and vice-versa.
2019 marks the second year of immigrant parent suffrage in San Francisco for school board. You can read more about the history of Immigrant Parent Voting and CAA’s participation here. We hope that Friday’s candidate forum will help immigrant parents gain further understanding in who they want to represent their families on school board.
