We need your help. The Trump administration is about to block access to the American Dream for so many working-class immigrants, families, and refugees. Proposed changes to the citizenship process will nearly double naturalization fees and eliminate fee waivers altogether, making an already expensive application completely out of reach.
But it’s not too late. We have until August 24 to submit public comments before the changes go into effect. And we need your voice!
For millions of green card holders, becoming a U.S. citizen isn’t just a milestone. It is the culmination of years of hard work, paying taxes, raising families, and contributing to their communities. Raising fees by 75-83% will put citizenship out of reach for these immigrants.
The pattern is clear: From the senseless ICE killings to Trump’s incessant attempt to denaturalize American citizens, Trump has repeatedly sought to make America a more dangerous place for immigrants. He thinks he can scare us into silence.
Do not let him. Stay informed, and help us take action against his obscene policies.

| 🚨 We wrote a report in Chinese on changes to public charge that would create another barrier for immigrants who are entitled to usage of public benefits — help us spread awareness to your Chinese-speaking communities. ✅ In June, CAA hosted a workshop for green card applicants. The constantly changing and restrictive policies have created confusion and additional challenges for immigrant families. 💡 In June, Blanche v. Lau weakened due process protections for green card holders/lawful permanent residents (LPR).
