Direct Services
Chinese for Affirmative Action direct services prioritize the needs of low-income, limited-English proficient (LEP), and immigrant community members in San Francisco.
Direct services in immigration include staffing a rapid response hotline to respond to emergency immigration situations, providing know-your-rights information, naturalization assistance, pre-screenings for legal referrals to pro-bono immigration attorneys, and a host of other workshops and resources on immigration and immigrant rights related matters.
In workforce development we prepare and place job seekers in living wage employment and help with referrals, resume writing, applications, and interview prep. Special partnerships also support technology needs, displaced workers, and targeted neighborhoods.
Bilingual staff also coordinate a range of referral and Information services to ensure community members are able to identify and access available supports and resources.
