With less than 96 days until election day, your voice is more vital than ever.
We want you to know that CAA is prioritizing the passage of Proposition 16 on California’s November ballot. That is why we are urging you to join our broad-based coalition of supporters committed to fighting discrimination and restoring equal opportunity programs like affirmative action.
As you know, CAA has played a leadership role in getting Prop 16 on the ballot (it was called ACA 5 in the Legislature) and we are leading once again in this campaign to ensure opportunity for all.
To be a part of this historic effort, we ask you to join us this August 4th for Yes on 16’s Kick-Off. The virtual rally will feature inspiring individuals like civil rights leader Dolores Huerta, Patrisse Cullors from Black Lives Matter, Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis, MALDEF President Thomas Saenz, and diverse student activists. I’ll also be speaking to represent CAA and the campaign’s leadership.
You can participate in English, Mandarin, or Spanish and there will be breakout sessions organized by geography, communities, and language to get people mobilized.
Continue to follow CAA and Yes on 16 for campaign updates and please encourage your friends and family to join us for the kick-off rally.
With your support, we can work to dismantle structural racism and gender discrimination together.
