Manjusha Kulkarni, executive director of the Asian and Pacific Islander Equity Alliance and co-founder of the national anti-racism group Stop AAPI Hate, said she expects anti-Asian enmity to increase this year and is concerned that politicians’ anti-China stances may empower perpetrators of acts of hate.
