In response to the alarming escalation in xenophobia and bigotry resulting from the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, Asian Pacific Planning and Policy Council (A3PCON), Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA) and the Asian American Studies Department of San Francisco State University have launched the Stop AAPI Hate Reporting Center to collect and track incidents of anti-Asian American and Pacific islander hate violence, adult harassment, discrimination, shunning, and child bullying throughout the country.

The increasing number of anti AAPI hate incidents requires us to be steady and calm when we witness racism and bigotry.  Stop AAPI Hate is anticipating the number of incidents to rise once the quarantine is over and we ask you to be prepared if you see someone experiencing hate. Please review these following tips to safeguard yourself in case you find yourself in a stressful racist incident or what action to take when coming to the aid of an impacted individual.
