Last Thursday at our 52nd anniversary Celebration of Justice fundraiser event, CAA welcomed 1,200 guests from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Read on for top-level highlights from our virtual event program.

In addition to our 2021 slate of honorees, we are proud to announce the following special guests, who will help us commemorate CAA's 52nd Celebration of Justice.

CAA is calling for the state of California to invest $210 million over a three-year period to address hate incidents against AAPI communities, which have faced increased attacks since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

CAA advocacy during AAPI Heritage Month brought big victories including a landmark settlement to make college admissions more accessible, and historic state budget allocations for language access.

On Thursday, June 17, Chinese for Affirmative Action will host our virtual 52nd Anniversary Celebration of Justice event to uplift individuals and organizations who are making lasting contributions to our communities. This year, we are proud to recognize three distinguished honorees: APIENC, Fred Blackwell, and Henry Der. 

From our local work directing resources to immigrant families and our state work providing language access for non-English speakers, to our national work addressing anti-Asian racism, we are grateful and inspired by all those who are contributing to the movement for justice.
