The Asian Americans for Civil Rights and Equality (AACRE) network was launched in 2014 to focus on long-term movement building, capacity infrastructure, and leadership support for Asian Americans committed to social justice. There are currently 11 partnering member groups with unique strengths.  Fiscal sponsorship, administrative, and operational support is provided centrally for all of these groups so they can focus on their core programs. 

AACRE was founded by Chinese for Affirmative Action. In 2020, CAA was one of the founding organizations of Stop AAPI Hate (SAH), a U.S.-based coalition dedicated to ending racism and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAs & PIs).

Scope of Work

AACRE is seeking a consultant(s) who has extensive experience in developing and implementing compensation and performance evaluation programs for organizations with at least 50 employees. The consultant will report to the CAA Co-Executive Directors and work closely with senior level staff to refine and implement a newly updated compensation framework that aligns with the organization’s overall strategy and goals.

The consultant will lead and project manage the following:

  • Improve and add greater detail to a newly updated compensation framework and salary structure
  • Develop processes for analyzing job descriptions and duties
  • Implement pay adjustments process (e.g. adjust salaries so that all positions are in appropriate salary bands and tiers) in conjunction with supervisors to ensure consistency 
  • Research compensation data as necessary
  • Develop communication assets/training to inform and educate all employees throughout the implementation
  • Evaluate and strengthen current performance guideline, evaluation, and staff support tools 
  • Develop training for supervisors to conduct performance evaluation tools to ensure consistency across the organization
  • Work with supervisors to Implement new performance evaluation and staff support tools
  • Develop and document compensation timelines, plan, policies, protocols to be used on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of CAA including a commitment to social justice, equity, and civic engagement 
  • At least 5+ years of experience in human resources 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills 
  • Degree in Human Resources, Public Administration or Business Management is  preferred
