WHAT: Press briefing on President Obama’s executive action on administrative relief for immigrants, also known as “Immigration Accountability Executive Actions”

WHEN: Tuesday, November 25 – 10:00AM

WHERE: Advancing Justice – Asian Law Caucus, 55 Columbus Avenue (Lowe Conference Room), San Francisco

WHY: After Republicans in the House of Representatives killed efforts for comprehensive immigration reform, immigrant communities called up President Obama to use his executive authority for administrative relief. President Obama finally fulfilled his promise to the immigrant community by announcing executive action plans that will provide relief to up to 5 million immigrants currently residing in the U.S.

Immigrant rights advocates and attorneys will respond to his announcement, and share important information about who will and will not qualify for relief. Speakers will also share critical information to the immigrant community to avoid fraudulent immigration services. The press briefing will include significant time for questions from reporters.
